OUR WOOL
The Merino de Valdes wool comes from selected skeins of our best Merino sheep. Each of the stages of the process, from the raising of the animals to the spinning and dying of the wool, is carried out according to a series of standards especially conceived to guarantee, not only the quality of our products, but also the way in which they have been elaborated.
In the next southern spring (October and November 2016), we shall present to the market 3.000 kg of Merino de Valdes wool. We have decided to limit the amount of wool to be processed in order to guarantee that each of the stages, from the raising of the sheep up to the preparation of the cones, may be carried on in accordance with our standards of quality, sustainability and environmental responsibility. |

WOOL MERINO DE VALDÉS

| SHEARING |
“Tally Ho”. We have invited a group of independent observers to attend the shearing. They will guarantee that all the process will take place taking in consideration the welfare and the security of the animals.

The fibres applied to the manufacturing of Merino de Valdes have a thickness of less than 20 microns. |

| LENGHT |
In the spinning of Merino de Valdes, all the fibres that do not reach 40 mm are removed. |
|
|
|
| PROCESSING |
The fleeces of the Merino de Valdes sheep are carded and combed in a certified mill. The tops thus obtained are transferred to a certified spinning mill to be re-combed and spun. |

| COUNT (Nm) |
Merino de Valdes is spun in a standard Count (Nm) of 2/30. But if required, we can offer an ample range of titles: from the thickest types (3/8 or 4/8) to suitable threads for machines of circular spinning (Nm 1/40). Since ours is a limited production, if you are looking for a non-conventional Count, we recommend you to contact us as soon as possible. |

| COLOR |
The dyes used by Merino de Valdes have been selected to fulfill the most demanding technical and environmental parameters. We can obtain a wide variety of colors, and we recommend our customers to contact us and let us know which are the colors they are looking for. |

Merino de Valdes is delivered in 1,5 kg cones**. |
